Maqcare (trading internationally as GetCare) was established in July 2014 and is one of the largest critical care service support companies in South Africa. The company provides ventilation and anaesthesia systems to several government and private healthcare organisations across Africa, where they are further responsible for maintenance and support of this equipment.
One such way that Maqcare is able to provide this service is through a proprietary web-based application provided by BBD. The app enables Maqcare technicians to audit, track and catalogue hospital assets, indicates a list of registered assets per hospital and also notifies and provides the technician with actions that should be taken when assessing an asset by way of built-in asset-specific questionnaires.
