Sanlam Collective Investments (SCI) was established in 1967 and is the longest standing unit trust management company in South Africa. The company is responsible for the administration of a suite of Sanlam Investments funds and offers third party administration services and co-naming capabilities. SCI is part of the broader Sanlam Group which began as a life insurance company established in 1918.
In 2013, SCI was looking to improve its existing client servicing capability through a complex software development and integration project. Following concerns about the quality and timing of delivery by a previous vendor, SCI turned to BBD to assist with the recovery of the project. We were able to turn around a faltering project and deliver a complex, highly integrated software solution for SCI in just 8 months. In recognition of our successful delivery, we remain SCI’s key development vendor.
