Data architect
BBD is looking for an experienced, senior level data architect who is comfortable across both IT systems facilitating the collection, storage, distributions, and consumption of data within an organisation, as well as with engaging with clients, understanding their business, and mentoring and assisting others in the team.

The role:
- Engaging with senior stakeholders
- Reviewing and defining data architecture solution across on-premise, cloud-based and hybrid environments
- Designing data warehousing and data lake solutions
- Designing conceptual and logical data models and data flows
- Defining data governance and security policies and procedures
- Designing data pipelines to support batch and streaming use cases data
- Supporting and mentoring data implementation teams
Requirements:
- At least 8 years’ experience with data architecture and data governance
- Building out data warehouses, data lakes to support batch, streaming and analytics use cases
- Cloud experience (AWS / Azure) beneficial
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Strong experience in building out data warehouses and data lakes
- Experience in building data solutions on the cloud (AWS/Azure) beneficial
